Ida had a lifelong and varied career as a talented seamstress. She retired from Palais Royal after 30 years of service as a seamstress and men’s tailor. Ida then worked for Sakowitz Furs for over 20 years as a furrier. She worked until the age of ninety years and had many customers that thought highly of her. She took great pride in her work and used her amazing skills to alter fur coats with perfection and take the remnants and creatively turn them into fur accessories. Ida especially loved fishing and years ago she enjoyed ballroom dancing and bowling. She was born in Buccino, Italy and looked forward to her visits back home to spend time with her brother and his family and her many friends. Ida was a wonderful cook and enjoyed cooking traditional Italian dishes. She loved family get-togethers, especially during the holidays. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A Memorial Service for Ida will be held Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 11:00 am at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581 with Pastor Keith Anderson officiating.
