Obituary of Cynthia Carol Stanaland

Please share a memory of Cynthia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Cynthia Stanaland, 68, joined her loved ones in Heaven on Wednesday, November 2, 2016. She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Stanaland, and her Father, Thomas Gage. Cynthia is survived by her mother, Ruby Gage; daughters, Dee Dee Stanaland, Theresa Lotz and husband, Stephen and grandchild, Gibson; sister, Deborah Gressett and husband, Keith; brothers, John and David Gage; and a host of other family and friends. Cynthia or "Cyn" to those who knew and loved her was known for her open home and extending a hand to those in need. She enjoyed simple things; being outdoors with a cup of coffee and bird watching for her favorite hummingbird, her daily Sonic drink with extra, extra ice, and a good movie & popcorn (a huge fan of Harry Potter and The Hunger Games). Most of all she loved to joke with family - she had a quick wit and loved pranks (just ask her grandson). A Memorial service for Cynthia will be held Monday, December 5, 2016, at 4:00pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, TX 77581 with Pastor Tom Allen from Crosspoint Church (Cynthia's friend, pastor, & previous boss) officiating. Dee Dee, Theresa, Stephen & Gibson would like to send out a special thanks to the Wagner family for opening their home (and, feeding them), Pastor Tom for officiating for our Mom (and, a friend of his), and lastly, to Mr. Clayton for holding my hand and taking such good care of my Mom's funeral needs (for a friend of yours, I know, too).
