Please share a memory of Esther to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Esther Rae Rozelle, 77, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2016. She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Estelle Boynton; sons, Ronald Ray Rozelle; and brother, Ray Dale Boynton. Esther is survived by daughters, Toni Rozelle, Lisa Kelso and husband, Steve; six grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. Esther was born and raised in Pearland. Her father owned a crop-dusting business in Pearland and worked all over Brazoria and Galveston County. As Esther grew up, she and her brother saw many changes in Pearland as the city grew and expanded. She loved animals her entire life and raised everything from quarter horses to black angus bulls along with every orphaned animal she could find. Esther even had a litter of skunks that she had de-scented and raised as cats when her children were small. In her later years, she raised Schnauzers and continually pampered them. Esther loved listening to country music, especially her cousin, Sonny Burns. She was also fond of going up to Central Texas BBQ to listen to Ms. Leddy play. Esther never met a stranger and enjoyed traveling and seeing new places. She cherished spending time with her grandchildren and hearing stories of all their successes. Esther took great pride in her roots, and felt great comfort in knowing that she was born, raised and died here in Pearland. A graveside service for Esther will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at 10:00 am at SouthPark Cemetery, 1310 North Main Street, Pearland, Texas 77581 with Pastor John Mark Benson officiating.
