Please share a memory of Clarence to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Clarence Dauz Ladera, 60, passed away on December 20, 2016. Clarence was born in Bontoc, Philippines, and grew up in Baguio City. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology from the University of Baguio. He worked as a medical sales representative before immigrating to the United States. In Los Angeles, Clarence worked in sales and real estate. He moved to Houston in 2011 where he completed a certification course to become a hemodialysis technician. In 2015, Clarence diligently finished his licensed vocational nursing program and passed his nursing licensure exam. His skill in other languages enabled him to quickly establish an excellent rapport with patients, coworkers, and classmates from diverse cultures. He had an amazing sense of humor, a contagious smile, and this gift of making all those in his presence - stranger and friend alike - feel welcome. He loved to cook Filipino and Mexican dishes and enjoyed traveling, especially to Destin, Florida. Clarence was the eldest child and the first grandchild. He was a generous nephew to his uncles and aunties, and a kind, caring and loving brother to all his siblings and a known comedian to over 40 cousins. He was preceded in death by his sister Genedine Ladera-Andres. He is survived by his parents, Agustin and Clarita; his daughter, Claire and her husband, Benjamin; his sons, Zoriel and Paul Nestor; his grandchildren, Keandrei Kaven, Marcus Kyle, and Gabrielle Faith; his sister Easter and her husband, Thanh; his brothers, Christopher, Gerard Noel, and Augustus and their wives, Imelda, Emmaline, and Lorie, respectively; his brother-in-law, Secundino; his nieces and nephews, Queennie, Jason, Jan Kristoffer, Patricia, Vincent, Kym, Blaze, Sabrina, Yva, Ansel, Lauren, Laurence, and Lorenzo; and a host of other family and friends. He discreetly kept his bout with cancer from everyone around him, never complaining once nor showing anything other than strength. Clarence will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. Services for Clarence will be held Friday, December 23, 2016 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 6502 County Road 48, Manvel. Texas 77578. The visitation will take place from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm. The Funeral Mass will follow at 12:00 pm with Father Tom Ponzini officiating.
