Obituary of Hannah Rose Hollis

Please share a memory of Hannah to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Hannah Rose Hollis, born July 13th 1999 in Clear Lake Hospital, beloved daughter and sister entered into eternal rest with our Lord Jesus Christ on March 19, 2017. Proceeded in death by her mother Kimberly Ann Hollis, died September 8th 2013, survived by her Father Alan Hollis, stepmother Fabiola Hollis, sisters Lauren Rayne Hollis and Holleigh Rebekah Hollis, Aunt Lorena Fillman, Uncle Glynn Hollis, and her loving cat Kiki. Hannah just 17 years old was one of the brightest, most talented and lovely young women anyone could have ever known. When she was just three years old she fell in love with cooking and at this young age instead of watching Barney on television she engrossed herself with cooking shows. Learning to read at a very young age she always had her nose in a cookbook and from this early stage she began showing her aptitude in the kitchen. Hannah had a gift in the kitchen and was always making something delicious for everyone to enjoy. Hannah’s infectious smile and propensity to make everyone laugh through her practical jokes would warm the heart of anyone near. No matter what kind of trouble Hannah would get into, she had an uncanny ability of charming her way back into the good graces of everyone with her persistent laugh and incredible hugs. Hannah spent the better part of most summers at the Rocky River Ranch camp for girls and over the last few years had become a camp counselor. This is where her giant heart really showed through; she was responsible for the youngest of the campers and was immensely loved by all of them, receiving cards, letters and calls from these young campers telling her how much they enjoyed spending time with her and how much they loved her. Hannah was generous with both her time and her heart, always putting others feelings before hers. She was the best gift giver and always had the ability to give the perfect gift to her family and friends. Hannah’s work ethic was amazing, besides her school work and making good grades; Hannah worked as a life guard and was always taking on more shifts and working every day. Along with her school and work, Hannah was a member of the Pearland High School Golf Team, playing on the varsity squad for 4 years. Out of all the many things Hannah accomplished, she was most proud of her full acceptance to Texas A&M University and was preparing to attend classes in the fall. Hannah loved the thought of going off to school and attending the same University as her sisters, becoming an Aggie and getting to hang out with “Reveille”. Hannah always had the highest of ambitions and had dreams of becoming an anesthesiologist and talked of wearing her “scrubs” and living in a high rise downtown. Truly extraordinary, blessed with so many gifts, Hannah was the most amazing young woman and to know her was to know a truly beautiful soul. She will be loved and missed forever.
