Merry Jo Cecil, 80, passed away, Saturday, April 1, 2017. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Cecil; parents Neal and Ardith Seaman; and brothers, Bobby and Tracy Seaman. Merry is survived by her sons, Chris Cecil, Bryan Cecil and wife Suzan; daughters, Lisa Black and husband Jeff, Kelly Hayley; sister, Sherry Almquist; thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren; and a host of other family and dear friends.
Merry was an elegant and poised lady who honored and loved her husband throughout their 45 years of marriage. She was extremely proud of all her children and grandchildren. Merry found pleasure being outdoors working in the yard and growing flowers. She had a servant’s heart and was very selfless in her endeavors and always doing for others. Merry was a Godly woman who stood strong in her faith and convictions. She often wrote letters and sent pamphlets for the prison ministry to encourage and help them learn about Christ. Merry made a huge impact on so many lives throughout life and was a good role model to everyone who knew her. She never complained, was an inspiration to others and even during her illness, was gracious and showed incredible courage. Merry will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
