Monday, April 17, 2017Scott and family, I am still in shock hearing of Jane's death. I will always remember Jane speaking so lovingly about her family. I had the pleasure of getting to know Jane through the Council on Renal Nutrition. She was very dedicated to her profession and instrumental in changing the renal nutrition policies and outcomes for dialysis patients. She was an expert in her field and served as a great resource for me as well as many dietitians across the country. I was always amazed that she could ride her bicycle all the way to Austin in the MS 150 race. She was an inspiration to her peers as well as her patients. She will be greatly missed. My deepest sympathy to you and your family, Cathy Harrison , RD, LD

Wednesday, April 12, 2017We've known Jane for more than 30 years, and it's hard to imagine the New Life class without her. She was class treasurer for many years, frequently opened her home to us for delicious lunches, and patiently explained the rules of our Christmas gift exchange every year. Several years ago, when Bob had to have emergency gall bladder surgery, Jane came to the hospital on a Sunday evening and waited with me the entire time he was in surgery. I'm sure she had plenty to do at home to get ready for her work week, but she didn't leave until she was sure he was in recovery and all was ok. That was typical of Jane. We'll miss her a lot.

Wednesday, April 12, 2017Jane was a good friend to all in our adult Sunday School class at First United Methodist Church Pearland. She was active and engaged in discussions and Bible study. She was a fantastic hostess and opened her home to feed and entertain us over and over again. Jane had a great laugh! She enjoyed our class socials and enlivened them with her wit and humor. Her helpful nature and her medical knowledge aided so many in our class and beyond. We will miss her immensely.

Tuesday, April 11, 2017Jane was a very generous, kind and thoughtful soul. She was our Sunday School class treasurer for a great many years and was always quick to encourage us to donate class funds to worthy causes. It goes without saying that our class Christmas parties will never be the same without her detailed instructions for our favorite game. We continue to pray for Scott and the family.
