Obituary of James Frederick Brian

Please share a memory of James to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

James (Jim) Frederick Brian peacefully passed from this earth to be with the Lord on June 1, 2017.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Jim was 63 years old, born to William Ross and Wanda Elizabeth Brian, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He graduated from Texas A&M University, College Station. He owned and operated Brian Service and Calibration and also enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time at his property in Newton, Texas. He was very proud of, and loved being with his grandchildren.

Jim was preceded in death by his father, Ross Brian, and his brother, Tommy Brian.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Kathy Brian; his mother, Wanda Brian; daughter, Casey Hadley and husband Cliff, granddaughter Cailey and grandson Dade; son Kris Brian and granddaughter Kenna; son Shane Brian and wife Shelli, grandsons Aiden, Austin and Tanner, granddaughter Makayla; sisters Mary Jean Easley and husband Lynn, Ann Morris and husband Harry; brothers David Brian and wife Linda, and Bobby Brian; and a host of other family and friends.

Jim’s family would like to thank the multitude of doctors and staff who put forth the tremendous effort to care for him, especially those who appreciated his sense of humor.

A private family celebration of life service will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations may be made, in his honor, to a charity of your choice.

Time has come, and time has passed

On the shore of heaven you’ll be

Catching fish, and waiting for me

You’ve made me laugh, and made me mad

But no matter what, I’d want no other dad

Family will be all around, and comfort they’ll seek

I’ll show strength, but my heart goes weak

I’ll miss you here, and miss you there

Hell, I’ll miss you each time I inhale air

But I know you’re safe, I know you’re free

There’s no other way I’d want it to be

When you get to heaven and are fishing

Silently, please watch over me.

-Kris
