Obituary of Ramiro Morales Leyton

Ramiro Morales Leyton, 68, passed away Monday, July 24, 2017.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Domingo and Leonore Leyton Morales; and sister, Celia Lara.  Ramiro is survived by loving wife of 46 years, Alicia Morales; sons, Ramiro Morales Jr. and wife, Jessica, Samuel Morales; daughters, Marisa Guerra, Sandra Martel and husband, Toby; brothers, Norberto Morales and wife, Lala, Gilberto Morales and wife, Herlinda, Juan Morales and wife, Julia; sister, Irene Morales; 7 grandchildren; and a host of other family and dear friends.

Ramiro was a spiritual, very happy man that was full of life. He loved music and dancing and lit up the room with his big smile.  Ramiro loved carpentry and remodeling and could build anything. He was a self-made engineer, a supervisor and worked in construction until his retirement at age 62. Ramiro had a passion for music and collected accordions. Family was extremely important to him and he lived for his children and grandchildren. Ramiro looked forward to family gatherings and always wanted his grandkids around. ("Wuelo") grandfather was known for his cooking and making the best breakfasts. He loved baseball, gave great baseball tips and enjoyed watching the grandkids play. Ramiro will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

The visitation for Ramiro will be held Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm with the Rosary recited at 6:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581.  The funeral mass will take place Friday, July 28, 2017 at 10:00 am at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2209 Old Alvin Road, Pearland, Texas 77581 with Fr. Richard Hinkley officiating.  Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
