Obituary of Henry Fred Schaefer

Henry Fred Schaefer, 92, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2017.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Blanche Schaefer; wife, Lillian Schaefer; brother Wagner Schaefer; and sister, Doris Britsch.  He is survived by his longtime friend, Josephine Alobaidi and nieces Carla Jo, Sharon Lou and Gayle.

Henry was a graduate of Texas A&M class of 1946.  He proudly served his country in the Navy during World War II.  Henry worked for the IRS over 25 years until his retirement.  He especially loved the outdoors and found pleasure feeding the birds every day and the racoons in the evening.  Henry took interest in fishing and was an avid golfer.  His greatest pleasure was studying all types of history but he especially loved American history.  Henry enjoyed spending time dancing with his wife and all his lady friends and especially enjoyed dancing with Josephine.  He was a very kind and generous man and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Services for Henry will be held Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581.  The visitation will begin at 10:00 am the funeral service will follow at 11:00 am.  Interment will be at Forest Park Lawndale in Houston, Texas.
