Obituary of Rocky Russo Serna

Rocky “Pebbles” Russo Serna, 21 months, passed away Monday, September 25, 2017.  He is survived by his parents, Rocky and Lisa Serna; grandparents, Anna and Ruperto Serna and Isidoro and Maria Rodriguez; great grandmother, Aida Espinoza; sisters, Mercedeez Mariah Serna, Valerie Serna and Amoree Roquel Serna; and a host of many other family and dear friends.

Rocky was the light of his family’s eye.  He was an energetic and happy baby boy, that loved sports and being outdoors.  Rocky especially enjoyed baseball, and would make imaginary baseball bats out of sticks, pipes, long spoons, straws and even the toilet bowl cleaner.  He amused his family by constantly running on imaginary bases. Rocky was his mom’s sidekick and was always at her side unless it was time to go ride the tractor or lawnmower with his dad. He loved throwing pebbles all day long. Rocky’s favorite saying was “Go, Go, Go”. He was affectionately referred to as Pebbles because we wasn’t quite a rock yet. Rocky could find the moon during the day or night and would point at it and jump up to try and grab it. He loved singing worship songs with his Mom and giving Dadda elbows. Pebbles loved Elmo, reading and coloring with his sisters, and counting as he was going down the stairs with his Mommy. Rocky waved to everyone and his smile could light up a room.  He was his grandparents “lil Prince” and loved playing peek-a-boo with them.  Rocky was his family’s WHOLE WORLD and he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Services for Rocky will be held Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581.  The Visitation will take place from 2:00 until 3:00 pm with the Funeral Service following at 3:00 pm with Pastor Billy Burton officiating.
