She was loved by the neighborhood children, they couldn't stop by without speaking speaking to her. She enjoyed watching General Hospital and would rarely missed an episode, but her all-time favorite movie was Imitation of Life. She had a green thumb and enjoyed planting and growing flowers, particularly ivories. It was therapeutic and relaxing to her. Thelma adored her dog Nikolai which was a gift from her daughters, but her most and treasured times were spent with her husband, children and grandchildren.
