Obituary of Silvia Maria Goodwyne

Silvia Maria Goodwyne, 62, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2017. She is preceded in death by her parents, Erwin Lindemann and Ursulla Tellback.  Silvia leaves behind her husband of 14 years, Daniel Goodwyne; sons, Kevin Allison and wife, Jessica, Ryan Allison and wife, Jennifer, Kurt Allison; brother, Gary Lindemann; sister, Renee Sandford; grandchildren, Kienan, Tyler and Alexis; and a host of other family and friends.

Silvia was born at Macdil Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida before her family settled in Pearland in the 1960s.  She graduated from Pearland High School and the University of Houston Clear Lake.  Education was extremely important to Silvia and she taught reading at Junior High West, Junior High South and Berry Miller Junior High in Pearland ISD.  In her 20 years of teaching, she touched many lives and was passionate about shaping young minds.  Silvia was awarded the Teacher of the Year in 2012 at Berry Miller Junior High.  In her spare time, she loved going to the beach, cheering on LSU football, Texas, and anything military related.  Silvia loved her German heritage and traveled many times to Germany.  She was strong in her faith and passionate about her Christian faith.  Silvia cherished having crawfish boils, cooking for family at holidays and spending time together with her family in Galveston.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Silvia’s honor to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
