Obituary of Connie Marie Halas

Please share a memory of Connie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Connie Marie Halas, 68, passed away Monday, December 25, 2017.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Mary Onesko; and husband, Michael Halas.  She is survived by her daughters, Mishelle Azbell and husband, Jim, Denise Redman and husband, Chuck, Charlene Napoleon and husband, De; seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a host of other family, nephews, nieces and dear friends.

Connie was the youngest of ten children that was raised by her older brothers and sisters after her parents passed away before she was 4.  She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother that cherished spending special time with her family.  Connie loved to cook and was especially known for her secret recipe roast that was often served on Sunday dinners when the children and grandchildren were over.  A favorite childhood memory for her children was holidays when she would buy pounds and pounds of chocolate to make candies for Christmas and Easter.  Connie truly adored her grandchildren and they often remarked about wonderful it was to get picked up from school to go shopping, or to the hair salon where she worked to get “dolled up” or to just spend the night.  She always went of her way to make all of her grandchildren feel extra special  and loved.  Her caring nature extended past her family and was very evident by all the love she shared with the staff and other residents at Windsong.  Connie will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
