Obituary of Ruby Mildred Hall

Mildred “Millie” Chambers Hall, 89, of Pearland, Texas passed from this life on Monday, February 19, 2018. Born October 28, 1928, in Rusk County, Texas to Charley S. and Violet McElroy, she is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, James E. “Jimmy” Chambers and Charles A. “Chuck” Hall; brothers, Virgil, Joe, and Charles McElroy; sisters, Kathryn Ussery, Lucille Matthews and Maurine Armitage. Left to cherish Millie’s memory are her children Rebecca “Becky” Morrow and James E. “Bubba” Chambers, Jr.; grandchildren, Maegan Morrow, Heath Morrow and wife Ann, Mason Chambers, Cameron Chambers and wife Laura; great grandchildren, Giavanna, Brady, Oliver, and Evelyn Morrow and Marin Chambers; brother George McElroy and wife Helen; and a host of other family and dear friends.

Millie was strong in her faith as a long-time member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was full of life and her smile would light up whatever room she walked into. She loved flowers and writing poetry. Most of all Millie enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

A visitation and service for Millie will be held at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581, on Thursday, February 22, 2018. The visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. with the service following beginning at 1:00 pm with Bubba Chambers officiating.
