William R. Gonzales, Sr. went to be with the Lord on January 22, 2005. He was born October 27, 1951 in Lovington, New Mexico and graduated from Jesse H. Jones High School. He earned his Master Plumbing license in 1982 and shortly thereafter, formed and became the proud owner of Midas Plumbing. He was affectionately known as “Mr. Midas.” William was a member of PAMCA and a coach with the TCB Girls Softball Organization. He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Arthur and Maria Gonzales and is survived by a loving family; his wife of 33 years, Felicitas; sons, Willie, Jr. and wife, Sylvia, Johnny and wife, Brandy and Raymond; daughter, Rose Marie Gonzales; grandson, Nicolas Torres; beloved goddaughter, Brittany Peralez; brothers and sisters-in-law, Arturo and Maria, Johnny and Hilda, Arthur and Linda, Albert and Christy and Raymond and Judy; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Ann and Joe Padilla, Yolanda and Mauro Garcia, Isabel and Ricardo Gonzalez, Sylvia and Larry Hall, Sonya and Joel Cadriel, Irma Day, Marbe and Tommie Cherry, Sandra and Rudy Peralez and Toni Ann Gonzales; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. The family received friends and relatives Monday, January 24, 2005 and Tuesday, January 25, 2005, from 2 – 9 PM, at Clayton Funeral and Cemetery Services of Pearland. A rosary was recited Tuesday evening at 7:00 PM, at the funeral home. Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 26, 2005; the funeral procession departed the funeral home at 9:00 AM, for the Celebration of the Funeral Liturgy at 10:00 AM, at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 10727 Hartsook, in Houston. Interment followed at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
