Sheila Nadine Ajose, 58, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 26, 2014. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Pauline Johnson; brothers, Paul, Richard, Wayne, Ricardo, George and Alvin Johnson; and sister, Joan Clay Whitlock. Sheila is survived by her husband, Akinsanya Sunny Ajose; sons, Richard Johnson, Akinsanya Sunny Ajose Jr. and significant other, Teneka Curry; daughters, Angela Akinde and husband, Hakeem, Kesha Fisher and husband, Kevin; brothers, George Johnson and wife, Mary, Bernard Johnson and wife, Dynees, Keith Johnson and wife, Diane, Victor Johnson; sisters, Helen Ross and husband, Louis, Sharon Alexander and husband, Henry, Marva Williams; eleven grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
Sheila was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother that loved taking care of everyone. She cherished spending time with her family and looked forward to cooking for everyone. Holidays were her favorite time of the year because the house was filled with music, laughter and family. She was affectionately known as “Grandma” and will forever be remembered for her world famous sweet potato pie. Sheila will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
A visitation and home going celebration for Sheila will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Loyal Missionary Baptist Church, 3901 N. MacGregor Way, Houston, Texas 77004 with Pastor R.D. Sanders officiating. The visitation will begin at 10:00 am and the funeral service will follow at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Houston Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Pearland, Texas.
