Obituary of John Davis Henry

John Davis Henry, 76, passed away on Monday, October 27, 2014. He is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Lillian Henry; his loving wife of 30 years, Danna Henry; and daughter, Lisa Williams. John is survived by his son, Warren M. Henry and wife, Meagan; daughters, Shenel Brown and husband, Cameron, Katherine M. Mars and husband, Bill, Paula McIntire and husband, Bobby, Kena Armstrong, Gaye Law and husband, Dave; brother, Victor Henry; grandchildren, Jim, Aaron, David, Tessa, Randi, Jason, Paige, Katlyn, Tommy, Phillip, Rebecca, Michael, Nick, Makayla, Karley, Orian, Trey, William, Avianna, Coral, and Cooper; great grandchildren, Jace and Wyatt; and a host of other family and friends. John was an avid outdoorsman that loved hunting and fishing. He was an excellent provider for his family and had a successful career with Blackburn Manufacturing. John loved his family very much and considered them his great success and legacy. He was truly the patriarch of the family and taught his children the importance of standing up for one another. He was affectionately known as “PawPaw” and cherished spending time with his grandchildren. John will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. A visitation for John will be held Wednesday, October 29, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The funeral service will take place Thursday, October 30, 2014 at 12:00 pm at the funeral home with Chaplain Rogers Thompson officiating.
