Wilma Faye Koob, 89, passed away Friday, November 14, 2014. She is preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Elvie Eaves; husbands, David E. Wilson, Bob Notheis and Ed Koob; son, Walter Earl Wilson; brothers, J. L. and Melvin Eaves; sisters, Gladys Searcy, Arie Lee Cannon, and Lou Livingston. Wilma is survived by her sons, David Wayne Wilson and wife, Ivy, Jimmy Boyd Wilson and wife, Lynette; daughter, Wilda Elaine Wilson; grandchildren, Tracy Turner and husband, John, Amber Johnson and husband, Chandler, Adam Wilson and wife, Stephanie, Michelle Estes and husband, Burch, Eric Wilson, Walter Jackson and wife, Shawna, Keri Tyldesley and husband, Clif; ten great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
Wilma was strong in her faith and an active member of Pearland Church of Christ for over 50 years. She was a great cook, had an amazing green thumb that could grow almost anything. Wilma enjoyed working at the Pearland Variety Store and bowling. Wilma also had a licensed Day Care in her home and took care of many children growing up in the Pearland area. It was not uncommon for people to come up to her or other members of the family to share what wonderful memories they have of being cared for by Wilma at her home. She will forever be remembered for her amazing heart, her ability to never meet a stranger and devotion to her family. Wilma will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
The family would like to extend a special gratitude to Wilma’s granddaughter, Tracey Turner who lovingly cared for her during the past three years. A visitation for Wilma will be held Tuesday, November 18, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The funeral service will take place Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at 10:00 am at Pearland Church of Christ, 2217 N. Grand Blvd., Pearland, Texas 77581 with DC Brown officiating. Interment will follow at SouthPark Cemetery in Pearland, Texas.
