Obituary of Robert Edward Fish

Robert Edward Fish, 81, passed away Friday, December 19, 2014. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thurston Fish and Silva Fish Swanson; and brother, Charles Fish. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Carol Fish; daughters, Sue Ellyn Staggs and husband Jeff; Cathy Donnelly and husband, Wayne; Linda McClelland and husband, Jerry; Sandy Seaborg and husband, Steve; grandchildren, Nicole and Jereme McClelland, Travis and Brett Donnelly. Bob was born in Plainfield Illinois and looked forward to returning annually. After high school he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He retired from Northern Illinois Gas after thirty two years. During those years he also completed his college degree. Bob was an active member of the United Methodist Church. He was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge, a Junior Achievement sponsor and Rotarian. After retirement Bob and Carol lived in several communities where he enjoyed playing golf, card games, and meeting new people. He liked to travel but most of all he loved spending time with family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob’s honor to First United Methodist Church or Country Place Foundation. The memorial service for Bob will be held Friday, December 26, 2014 at 11:00 am at First United Methodist Church, 2314 N. Grand Blvd., Pearland, Texas 77581 with Dr. Bob Joiner officiating.
