Rosalio “Leo” Espinoso Cantu, 81, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2015. He is preceded in death by his parents, Pablo and Juanita Cantu; daughter, Raquel Cantu; brothers, Manuel, Clemente, Gabriel Cantu; sisters, Pauline Morales, Mercedes Cantu, Nicholasa Jimenez, Jackie Sustaita, Mary Medron; and granddaughter, Emily Rae Cantu. Leo is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Rosa Cantu; sons, Clemente, Rosalio Jr., Domingo Sr., Manuel, Rene Sr., and Ray Cantu; daughters, Leonora Bosenberg, Connie Fuentez, Stefanie Ann Lopez; brother, Lupe Cantu; sister, Janie Cantu; twenty-six grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
Leo was an excellent provider for his family and a hard worker that retired in 1987 after many successful years as a machine operator at Imperial Sugar. He was a faithful servant of the Lord and strong in his faith. Leo was a giving man that loved grocery shopping, going out to eat and riding around. He always believed in helping others in need and had extra food in his house at all times. He cherished spending time with his family and especially loved children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Leo will forever be remembered for being a man of his word and for his love of Stacy Adams shoes that he wore wherever he went. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
The visitation for Leo will be held Friday, January 9, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The funeral service will take place Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 10:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Keith Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at Fresno Cemetery in Fresno, Texas.
