Charlene James Laughlin, 80, passed away surrounded by her loving family Saturday, January 24, 2015. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Ruby James. Charlene is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Jerry Laughlin; son, Rick Laughlin and wife, Jody; daughter, Becky Henry and husband, Raymond; sister, Gloria Gross and husband, Bill; grandchildren, Christopher Laughlin, Mark Henry, Kelsey Laughlin, Ryan Henry; and a host of other family and friends.
Charlene was very active in the Country Place community and especially enjoyed playing golf with the Ladies Golf group. She enjoyed working in her yard and was even caught a time or two mowing her neighbors yards. Charlene loved her gardening and was known for always having to doctor her ant bites and poison ivy. She enjoyed traveling, visiting family, cross stitch and board games. Affectionately known as “Nana” to her grandchildren, she always looked forward to opportunities for the family to be together so that she could spend time with them. Charlene and Jerry traveled extensively to Europe, Alaska, Canada and all over the United States but it was the cruises that she enjoyed the most. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
