Obituary of Ann K. Quick

Ann K. Quick, 66, passed away surrounded by her loving family Friday, January 23, 2015. She is preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Ruth Kopejzna; and brother, Warren Kopejzna. Ann is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, G.B. Quick; daughter, Allison M. Voisin; sons, Gerald “Jerry” B. Quick Jr. and wife, Sharee, Warren “Ben” B. Quick; grandchildren, Thomas Bevill, Caleb Quick, Rylee Matherne, and one on the way, Colin Quick; and a host of other family and friends. Ann was a dedicated teacher for 45 years and was devoted to each and every one of her students. She was strict and stern as a teacher and parent but her students and children alike learned many valuable lessons from her and were all richer for it. Ann loved to travel and especially enjoyed the mountains and visiting the hill country. She was strong in her faith and let her strong morals guide her. Throughout her battle with cancer, Ann maintained her strong-will and determination and was an inspiration to all that knew her. She will forever be remembered for her grace, intelligence, adored stubbornness and persistence. Ann will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. The family would like to extend special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at M.D. Anderson and Memorial Hermann Hospital for their dedication, love and support throughout Ann’s illness. A visitation and rosary for Ann will be held Friday, January 30, 2015 at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The visitation will take place from 5:00 until 8:00 pm with the Rosary recited at 6:00 pm. The funeral mass will be held Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 10:00 am at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2209 Old Alvin Road, Pearland, Texas 77581 with Father James Courville officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
