Daryl Ralph Putney, 66, of Pearland, Texas, passed away on Saturday, May 2nd, 2015, at Memorial Herman Southeast due to a heart attack. He was born in Butler, Pennsylvania to Genevieve and Owen Putney and had a loving family with his older brother, Richard (Dick) Putney and half-brother Don Putney. He married Barbara Hogue and began his family. He is preceded in death by his first wife Barbara and his mother and father. Later in life, Daryl married his second wife, Cha Kim. He is survived by his two sons, David and Daniel Putney, and many loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family. Daryl was a loving father, husband, and friend to all. He loved being a mechanic and did so for most of his life. He specialized in working on air craft of various sort for the better part of 40 years. He was an avid reader, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He wore many hats over the years from baseball coach to Boy Scout troop leader, mostly revolving around his sons and family. In his life he did many things, from serving his country in Vietnam to raising and providing for his family. He embodied a work ethic like no other and did what needed to be done, without complaint. He created countless memories for that are the treasures in the lives of the people he knew. A visitation and funeral service will be held for Daryl on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The visitation will take place from 9:30 until 11:00 am and the funeral service will follow at 11:00 am with Pastor Kim Jinseo officiating. Interment will take place at Houston National Cemetery in Houston, Texas at a later time.
