Gary Dean Robinson, age 58 of Pearland, went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on January 22, 2009. He is preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Robinson and mother, Norma (Brown) Robinson; and brother, Don Robinson. He is survived by his loving wife of thirty six years, Diane (McGehee) Robinson; sons, Micah D. Robinson and Nathan A. Robinson; brothers, Robert Robinson & his wife Karen and Doug Robinson & his wife Judy; sisters-in-law, Penny Hulse and Stacy McGehee; brothers-in-law, John McGehee & his wife Dana and Dave McGehee & his wife Carol; and a host of many other family and friends.
Gary was born on May 21, 1950 in Phoenix, Arizona. He resided in the Houston area for twenty-two years. Gary received his double major in Geology & Physics from Arizona State University. He worked in the oil and gas exploration industry for the last thirty-seven years. He was a geophysicist by trade and worked for Energy-Path-Finders where he was also a partner for the last several years. He was a member of the Geophysical Society, an avid sportsman who enjoyed fishing and bird hunting. Gary was a Bible scholar and teacher and was very strong in his faith. He also loved music and was an accomplished musician. He and Diane enjoyed doing everything together, fishing, hunting, car, quilt and art shows. Vintage cars were his favorite hobby, which his entire family enjoyed. Gary was Diane’s art critic, always willing to give an objective review. He was a loving husband, devoted father, and always enjoyed spending time with his family.
Visitation for Gary will be held on Monday, January 26, 2009 at 9:30 am in the Clayton Chapel immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 am. A private family graveside committal will be held at Alvin Confederate Cemetery following the service.
