Obituary of Richard James Rozycki

Richard James Rozycki, 72, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2015. He is preceded in death by his parents, Stephen and Pauline Rozycki; and his loving wife, Joanne Rozycki. Richard was survived by his son, Greg Rozycki and wife, Angie; brothers, Paul Rozycki and wife, Louise, Steve Rozycki and wife, Jackie and Norman Rozycki; grandchildren, Madeline, Mason, Morgan and Marlow; and a host of other family and friends. Richard was an avid sports fan and a founding father in Pearland for the YMCA and Bay Area soccer. He was instrumental in bringing the popularity of soccer to the area and served as the announcer for games for several years. Richard owned and operated a successful home remodeling business for more than 40 years. He was very active in his son’s sports and activities and was the biggest cheerleader for his grandchildren. Richard was affectionately known as “JaJa” to his grandkids and cherished spending time with them. He was a wonderful family man and remained active throughout his entire life. Richard will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. A Memorial Service for Richard will be held, Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at 11:00 am at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581 with Pastor John Mark Benson officiating.
