Reverand Joiner was pastor of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church on Bayway Drive in Baytown in the late 1960’s. We all cared for this wonderful man. He was one pastor we will never forget. He would always close the service with the song “Bless be the tie that binds”. Each time I hear this song it reminds me of Reverand Joiner. RIP, you served our Lord well.

The New Life Class at First United Methodist Church Pearland will truly miss Bob. His warm, caring nature and wise words lifted spirits of so many during his career and his life.
Personally, my husband and I will miss his friendly greetings and warm smile each week.

Dear Friend who officiated at four of my family funerals, blessed just about every holiday meal celebrated over 60+ years and who always began his eulogies with how many days the person had lived — here’s to your 31,407 days given to you on this earth. You filled them to overflowing, with grace and humor, care and love for so many — you truly did walk the walk every step of the way.

Your depth of caring, love, and commitment will be difficult to match. You always listened, heard, and were grounded in the needs of those around you. You will be missed greatly by all but heaven rejoices crowning you with glory.

A wonderful pastor and friend who will be greatly missed by all. He was so good at being a visiting angel to the sick and lonely. We appreciated his care in visiting with my parents during their illness and passing and for his officiating each of their funerals. This world has lost a true beacon of light. He has received his crown in glory.

So sorry to hear of Rev. Joiner’s passing. Although I did not know him personally, I have heard many wonderful things about him from many different people, and know that a light has gone out from this world with his loss.
