Obituary of Sarma Venkata Subranmanya Susarla

Sarma Venkata Subrahmanya Susarla, 70 passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2015. He is preceded in death by his parents, Adinarayana and Saradamba Susarla. Sarma is survived by his children, Hari Susarla and Sarat Susarla; brothers, Chandrasekhara Sastry, Bhavani Prasad, Prabhakar, Venkata Ramana; and a host of many other family and friends. Sarma was born in Tummala Cheruvu, India on December 4, 1944. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family and friends. Sarma loved to travel and read spiritual books. He supported and uplifted his family through many difficult times, and he believed it was always important to help others in need. Sarma received a Lifetime Achievement Award from NASA for his accomplishments in computer engineering before retiring in 2015. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. The visitation and funeral service for Sarma is Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Clayton Funeral home, 5530 W Broadway Pearland, TX 77581. The visitation will begin at 11:00 am and the funeral will follow at 12:00 pm.
