Pearlie Kaye Clay, our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Sister-in-law, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, March 28, 2006. A resident of Houston, Texas since 1978, Kaye was born in Owens Cross Roads, Alabama on January 16, 1939 to John and Mary Kirby Reed.
Kaye is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Roy S. Reed and John David Reed and a sister, Katherine Smith. She is survived by a loving family; three children, Leilani Tuccillo and her husband, Lou, of Pearland, Texas, Saundra O’Day and her husband, David, of Phoenix, Arizona and Reed Clay, of Houston, Texas; her beloved grandson, Patrick Tuccillo; seven sisters, Jamie Gervais, Judy Falconbury and her husband, David Armstrong, Imogene Taylor and her husband, Randy, Ellen Reed, Jewel Reed, Barbara Humphrey and her husband, William and Rachel Brown and her husband, Roy; special great niece and great nephews, Klarisa, Shelby and Grayson Waller; and numerous other nieces, nephews and other relatives, all of Huntsville, Alabama.
Kaye had a love for her animals and she always had four or five homeless animals she was feeding. She leaves behind her special dogs, Wendy and Spencer.
Kaye had spent 17 years working with Estee Lauder at Dillard’s, where she will be deeply missed by many friends and colleagues. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to her dear friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 31, 2006, from 5 – 7 PM, at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas where a celebration of Kaye’s life will follow at 7 PM in the funeral home chapel.

In lieu of usual remembrances, Kaye’s family has requested for memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association or the Houston S.P.C.A.
