Obituary of Patrick Valore

Patrick “Pat” Anthony Valore passed away on February 5, 2009. He is preceded in death by his parents, Anthony & Bobbie (Smith) Valore. He is survived by his loving wife, Janice; son, Charles “Chuck” Valore; daughters, Vickie Swilley & her husband Gary, Elaina Valore, and Deann “DeDe” Cobb & her husband Bo, Sharon Childers, Sandy Strouberg & her husband George, and Shelly Lee; brothers, Frank Valore & his wife Karen and George Curtis & his wife Marilyn; grandchildren, Tony Gilbert, Jamie Taylor, Jackie Valore, Tori Valore, and Becca Gilbert; and a host of many other family and friends. Pat was born on March 1, 1941 in Chardon, Ohio. He lived in the Houston area for the last twenty-nine years. He was affectionately known by his grandkids as “Poppy”. He loved family get-togethers where he could cook for everyone and was able feed everyone within twenty minutes. He had a memorable dish called “Must Go” stew. Pat enjoyed duck hunting and fishing. He often perused garage sales and was the King of Coupons and was always seeking out a good bargain. His sense of humor and his witty jokes delighted all those he knew. Pat will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all his family and friends. Visitation for Pat will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2009 at 10:00 am with a Funeral Service beginning at 1:00 pm. in the Clayton Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Mike Davis of the First Assemble of God in Laporte will be officiating.
