Joan Ann Fray Stitt, a triplet, was born on May 17, 1932 in Kennett, Missouri. She passed away peacefully at her home in Pearland on March 5, 2009, where she has lived for 44 years. Joan married the love of her life, James Stitt on August 3, 1951 at Garden Villas Methodist Church in Houston.
Joan was a fun loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a bonafide shopaholic. She loved giving gifts to everyone she loved. She never missed a holiday. Joan had a special love for animals.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Pearle Fray Ing and Ray Ing and her daughter, Sharon Marie. She is survived by her husband, James; daughters, Cindy (Jerry) McAllister, Cecile (George Patrick) Stiles and Bettye (T.J.) Chambers; grandchildren, Amber Stiles, Emily Otto, Kevin & Morgan McAllister, Shiloh Sterling, Miriah Davis, and Sonny Chambers; great grandchildren, Hailey Barnette, Pierce & Tye Sterling, and Trenton Davis. Also survived by her sister Marybelle Meredith; and brothers Marion (Jane) Fray & Arthur (Judy) Fray .
