Obituary of Dorothy Shirocky Mestayer

Mrs. Dorothy Shirocky Mestayer passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at the age of 75 years. Dorothy was born November 10, 1930 in Smithville, Texas to John and Dorothy (Miller) Shirocky. She was a devout parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. Dorothy was actively involved throughout her children’s education at the Mount Carmel Parochial Schools. She is survived by a loving family; her beloved husband of 54 years, Eugene F. Mestayer; six children, Robin Fagan and her husband, Jimmy, Paul Mestayer and his wife, Pam, Mark Mestayer and his wife, Lisa, Lisa Mestayer, Eric Mestayer and Dana Ragsdale and her husband, Brian; four Grandchildren, four Step Grandchildren, numerous other relatives and a host of friends. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM Friday, February 10, 2006, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 6725 Reed Rd. @ Whitefriars, Houston, where a vigil will be offered at 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Saturday, February 11, 2006, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, in Pearland. “Special thanks and appreciation are extended to the staff of the Palliative and Comfort Care Unit at M. D.
