Obituary of Kenneth Ray Wardlaw

Kenneth Ray “Ken” Wardlaw passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at the age of 74 years. Ken was born August 9, 1931 in Shamrock, Texas to John A. and Edith May Wardlaw. He proudly served his Country in the U. S. Navy and earned his B. S. in Civil Engineering from Texas A & M University. Ken was a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the National Society of Professional Engineers. Ken is survived by a loving family; three sons, Steve Wardlaw and his wife, Ann, Greg Wardlaw and his wife, Cindi and Jeff Wardlaw; four grandchildren, Byron, Stephanie, Brandon and Bradley; sister, Dixie Martin and her husband, Roy; brother, John Wardlaw and his wife, Virginia; numerous other relatives and a host of friends. The family will receive friends from 2 PM – 3 PM Saturday, January 28, 2006, at Clayton Funeral Home of Pearland. A Celebration of Ken’s Life will follow at 3:00 PM, in the funeral home chapel. Graveside committal and interment will be held at 10:45 AM Monday, January 30, 2006, at Houston National Cemetery, under the auspices of V. F. W. – District 4 – Ceremonial Detail. For those desiring memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
