Obituary of Alvis Thomas Hill

Alvis Thomas “Tom” Hill Jr. of Friendswood, passed away on March 22, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alvis Thomas Hill Sr. and Mary (Evans) Hill. He is survived by his wife, Carla; sons, Dwayne Hill and Greg Hill; daughters, Schalyn Danae Hill; brother, Michael Hill; sister, Allana McClellen; six granddaughters, and a host of other family and friends. Alvis was born on August 24, 1942 in Texas City, Texas and spent most of his life in the Houston area. Alvis and Carla were married for 27 years and they both worked hard to be good providers for their family. He loved his family very much and Schalyn was the light of his life. He was employed as an electrician by Brown & Root and in his free time enjoyed riding his motorcycle. Visitation for Alvis will be on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Graveside Service is scheduled for Thursday, March 26, 2009 at 10:30 am at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038, 281-447-8686.
