Robert Wayne Nix, a resident of Pearland, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at the age of 72 years. Robert was born February 15, 1933 in Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan to Otis Marvin and Mamie Octavia Nix.
Bob proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy during the Korean War. He retired from the Chrysler Motor Corp. and was a member of Sagemont Church.
Bob is survived by a loving family; his wife of 49 years, Louise; three children, Michael Robert Nix, Deborah Jean Gonzales and her husband, Marcus, Jr. and Raymond Edward Nix and his wife, Alison; two brothers, William Edward and Frederick Marvin Nix; sister, Vera Jean Stafford; four grandchildren, Robert Margarito Guzman, Garrett Andrew Nix, Alexandra Rae Nix and Amber Louise - Adela Gonzales; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 PM Sunday, January 15, 2006, at Clayton Funeral Home of Pearland. A celebration of Bob's life will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, January 16, 2006, at Clayton Funeral Home of Pearland with Rev. Rex Forsyth officiating. Interment will follow at SouthPark Cemetery.
