Obituary of Kathleen Hamill-Bennett

Kathleen W. Hamill-Bennett, age 75 of Friendswood, passed away on April 28, 2009. She is preceded in death by her parents, David & Phyllis (Woodruff) Hamill; and husband, Dale Bennett; and sister, Margaret Wells. She is survived by her son, Sean Bennett & his wife Cathy; daughter, LizAnn Segrera & her husband Rafael; brother, David Hamill; grandchildren, David, Alicia, Daniel, & Esther Segrera, and Spencer, Caitlyn, Brigham, & Zachary Bennett; and a host of many other family & friends. Kathleen was born on February 3, 1934 in Portland, Oregon. She resided in the Houston area for the last fourteen years and prior to that lived in California. It was there that she and Dale spent their lives raising horses and cattle on their ranch. They enjoyed their two Belgian Draft horses that pulled wagons in parades and also worked the ranch. Kathleen served as Battalion Chief Dispatcher for the Alpine Fire Protection District. She also proudly served her country in the U.S. Air Force. In her spare time, Kathleen would do calligraphy and crocheting. She was very close to her sister Margaret Wells who passed away in April of 2008. The Funeral Service for Kathleen will be on Friday, May 1, 2009 at 10:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 505 Deseret Street, Friendswood, Texas 77546. Interment will be at Carterville Cemetery in Carterville, Missouri.
