My husband, Byron, and I met Jerry @ the Airport and Telephone Rd. business. Byron was a car wholesaler. Byron and Jerry were such big cutups He also accepted Jesus in 2003, and joined Jesus on Feb. 14, 2005. He passed away with Congestive Heart Failure due to his heavy smoking. He was taken to the ER in 1992,, where his heart stopped 3 times. He spent 3 months in the hospital, had a vision while he was there and accepted Jesus in the hospital.Hallelujah, We will get to spend eternity with all of our loved ones!!!

Dear Cherryl and Family, Our hearts go out to you during this solemn period of your lives. Jerry has been our neighbor in Port O'Connor for at least 20 years or so. We always appreciated our conversations together and enjoyed his friendly and personal character. He was generous and kind to all those he met. We will keep you in our hearts and prayers, particularly during this Christmas season. Dave & Nati

Over the last 25 or 30 years some of my favorite memories came fishing with Jerry at Port O. He taught me how to fish in the saltwater. Showing me how to read the water and throw a cast net. Over those years we always looked forward to spending time with Jerry and for me sharing our love for the water and chasing those Reds. Jerry was my friend and I will always miss him but his memories will always be with me. Thanks Jerry for all the good times. Mark

My sweet Jerry went to his new beautiful heavenly home just days shy of his 82nd birthday. He was diagnosed with extensive lung cancer on only 5 days before his passing... what a blessing to have his time with this devastating illness kept so short. His son and I were privileged to be with him when he crossed over. He will be so missed as this precious man was truly loved by everyone who knew him. Five years after losing my husband of 43 years to cancer, the Lord gave me another wonderful gentleman in my life who became my best friend and "buddy" and I loved him very much. We have enjoyed every day of the 2.5 years we were given to share. My tears now flow for his absence - I will miss him so much. Those tears, however, are mixed with joy in knowing that my precious Jerry is in the presence of the Lord as He had invited Jesus to be his personal Lord and Savior! ...so in that knowledge, I am filled with joy, peace and have an abundance of comfort. God is so merciful...He gave His only Son to make this possible and Christmas proclaims just that! What an awesome God we serve! At his request, Jerry's ashes will be spread in his beloved waters near Port O'Connor where he grew up. He brought joy in life and will continue to bring more joy in memory. We are better for having known and loved him.
