Obituary of Nell Dean Gonzales

Nell “Jo” Dean Gonzales, 64, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2016. She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert Dean and Mildred Tewes. Jo is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Danny Gonzales; son, John Gonzales and wife, Sara; daughter, Angie Marie Wilson and husband, Thomas; sister, Sharyn Hart; grandchildren, Dani and Madi Wilson; and a host of other family and friends. Jo always thought of others and had a very caring nature. She had a successful career in the banking industry for many years and for a while had an in-home child care. Jo enjoyed doing crafts and cooking for her family but the biggest joy in her life was taking care of her beautiful granddaughters. She cherished spending time with them and was affectionately known as “Nannie”. Jo and Danny loved traveling and got away to Florida or Las Vegas every chance they could. She enjoyed her many trips to the beach and New Braunfels. She will also be remembered as a wonderful animal lover who adored her two Chihuahuas, Martini and Rose. Jo will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jo’s honor to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org or to a charity of your choice. A Memorial Service for Jo will be held Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at 4:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581.
