David, Linda, Pat and I have been friends for more than 65 years. David and my friendship began in the 2nd grade and continued through graduation in Electrical Engineering at Lamar University. During this time our love for one another has grown as we have shared many teachers and professors, ham radio, "flag" football, worshiping together in Beaumont and Saratoga,Texas, double dating, meeting our future spouses, standing up at each others weddings as well as many laughs and good stories. Linda came into our friendship as a gracious and special person who was a strong Christian "help meet", mother, grandmother and great grandmother and her beliefs and values have been instilled in her decedents. David has always been a faithful husband to Linda and his leadership ability has been is demonstrated not only with his family but to those of us who are blessed to be his classmates. Because of God's promise, we know Linda is in a much better home now and it is one we all aspire to be a citizen of as we transition from this earthly journey. With our love, Jim and Pat Lanier
