Obituary of Robert Clemente Flores

Robert Clemente Flores, 48, passed away July 3, 2016. He is survived by his parents, Roberto Flores and Benilda Aguilar; wife, Katie Olivier-Flores; sons, Robert Flores Jr. and Joshua Flores; daughter, Cameron Flores; brothers, Mark Flores, Edgar Flores and wife, Rosalinda; sister, Lupie Flores and partner, Carmen Partida; and a host of other family and friends. Robert was a devoted family man that loved and treasured his family very much. He was an excellent provider and took pride in his family. Robert was very close to his brothers and sister, and was a great “Uncle Robert” to all of his nieces and nephews. He was affectionately known as the “baby whisperer” for his uncanny ability to calm fussy babies down. Robert was a devoted and loving son to his mother and his mother-in-law. Everyone in the family could count on him to help and he always made himself available. Whether it was helping you move, or setting up a new computer, he was the go-to guy, and he never complained. Robert was truly a wonderful and supportive father and husband. He unconditionally supported Katie through her college education and career. Robert enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved catching up over a cup of coffee, or during a family cookout where he mastered the art of barbecued ribs and handcrafted mojitos. He was an avid sports fan and followed all the sports from basketball to football. Robert enjoyed life and loved singing karaoke with his family. His greatest joy was watching his children perform and sing. Robert was the patriarch of the family and the first person you would call if you had a question about anything. Robert and Katie loved to travel and go on family vacations, especially the beach. He will forever be remembered for his love of life and his ability to make friends everywhere he went. Robert will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. A visitation and rosary will be held Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The visitation will be held from 5:00 until 8:00 pm with the Rosary recited at 6:00 pm. The funeral service will take place Friday, July 8, 2016 at 10:00 am at the funeral home with Deacon Richard Reyes officiating.
