Obituary of Larine Mitchell

Our mother, Larine Mitchell was born into this world along with her twin sister Jerlean Mitchell, Tuesday, June 15, 1971 to their mother Joan Riley and father Opher L. Mitchell in Miami, Florida; where she loved to go to the beach, but hated Goofy at Disney World. She was raised in Alief, Texas by her mother Brenda H. Mitchell and father Opher L. Mitchell, graduating from Hastings HS in 1990. After experiencing college life at TSU, Larine jumped into a career as a medical assistant, she also ran her own cleaning service and taught for a short time. She later met and fell in love with Frankie “Rex” Smith, though they were never officially married, Frankie and Larine shared every significant, life changing moments together while raising their beautiful family; their youngest two are currently in college. Larine was preceded in death by her mothers: Joan Riley Keith and Brenda H. Mitchell, Her sister: Mamie Lena Mitchell, Her Grandmothers: Mamie Lou Parks, Dora Mae Thomas, Lillie Lorine Moore, Her Grandfathers: Joseph Mitchell, Thorn Riley. Her niece: April Nicole Lowe, and nephew: Anthony E. Campbell. She leaves to celebrate and continue the spirit of her life, her Dad: Opher Lee Mitchell, Sandra Brown, Grandmother to all of the children and she was like a Mother to Larine. Siblings: Ella Johnson, Alexander Hartley III (Paula), David P. Wells, Sella Riley, Tricia V. Rachell, Jerlean Mitchell, Alycia T. Hartley, Quentin Radcliffe. Her Children: Dantrell I. Jarrett Malcom X. Mitchell, Troy D. Dickey II, Unique S. C. Dickey, Passion I. Brown, and Dominque K. Brown. Her Grandchildren: Tihanna A. Jackson, Amiyah Mitchell, Troy D. Dickey III, Thomas A. Jackson II. First Generation Nieces and nephews: Taeisha (Tim), Melissa (Ian), Alex IV(Sharmecia), Alexis, Chayce, Michael, Darrel, Jamal, Clarrissia, Avia, Tristan, Ariel, Abriana, Jordan, Quentia, and Quentin (Ashley), Brady and Brandon. Along with her God Children: Raquel Zuniga, Phredy-ricco Zuniga, Rosaria Zuniga. Followed by a hosts of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
