Obituary of Linda Dianne Pearson

Linda Dianne Pearson, 73, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2016. She is preceded in death by her parents, Evar and Jean Peterson; her loving husband of 49 years, John Michael Pearson; and grandson, Grayson Pearson. Linda is survived by her sons, Greg Pearson and wife, Amy, Jeff Pearson and wife, April; sister, Bonnie Dorrans and husband, David; brother-in-law, Bob Pearson and wife, Judy; grandchildren, Adam and Emily Pearson, Seth, Ean and Amaris Burns; nieces and nephews, Craig Dorrans, Leslie Dorrans, Valerie Moran and Steve Pearson; and a host of other family and friends.
Linda was born in Lincoln, Nebraska and graduated from Montgomery High School in California. She attended Santa Rosa Junior College and Long Beach State College before transferring to Wright State University. Linda owned and built successful technology training businesses. It was this entrepreneurship and her focus on education that influenced her sons to learn about business, pursue college, and start their own businesses. Her greatest accomplishment however was her grandchildren. She loved reading to them when they were little and encouraging their creativity as they grew up. Whatever their interests were, she got behind and supported them wholeheartedly. Linda cherished spending time with them and watching them in all of their activities. She was a very loving and supportive sister, wife, mother, mother-in-law and grandmother. Linda enjoyed traveling on cruises and was an avid reader. She instilled a love of art, music and dance in her family and was a season ticket holder to the Broadway series in Houston. Linda will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Linda’s honor to the Star of Hope Mission.
A funeral service for Linda will be held Friday, September 30, 2016 at 3:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581 with Deacon Richard Reyes officiating. Interment will take place Monday, October 3, 2016 at Houston National Cemetery in Houston, Texas
