I only found out abot Jake's passing a couple of days ago, far after he had passed. Jake was one of those rare, goodhearted people that are very hard to find these days. He was truly gifted, had a good sense of humor, and was very adventurous. I have never met Mr. and Mrs. Adams, but I would like them to know that the time I spent with their son truly brought joy to my heart. I went to CAC with him twice before, including last summer. He was somebody I talked to alot during those couple of weeks. He made it so much more fun and interesting and will truly be missed. My truest and deepest condolences to the Adams family and the Heartwell family. He has a special place in heaven.

I am so, so sorry for your loss. I have no way of identifying with your pain; the loss of a child is beyond pain description. Jake was a gift from God as Psalm 127:3 states: "Look! sons are an inheritance from God". He is in His memory and He will deliver on his promise of the resurrection (John 5:28, 29; Revelations 21: 3-5).
You will see Jake again! Trust that He will sustain you in your time of sorrow (Psalms 55:22).

We were so very sorry to hear the loss of sweet Jake. I will never forget the first time I met him on the slopes of Winter Park! I think he was about 3 years old skiing down the mountain with his Mama!
He is, and always will be, such a sweet and caring young man that will never be forgotten. His fun for life and bubbly personality was one of a kind! His generosity towards others was so special to our family, especially to Lauren and Emily. They will never forget him!

Jen, Rob, Cole and family, we are sorry for your loss. We remember Jake and Cole very vividly. Cole and my daughter Alexiya were in the same class in elementary, and Jake was in the same class as my daughter Arianna this year. He actually sat right next to her. She told us how much fun he made the class and how he always made her laugh. We remember attending a few of their birthday parties and all the fun during the spring carnivals. We will never forget how funny Jake was! He was always making people laugh. He had such a fun spirit that always made everyone around feel like they were his best friend. I always admired your family's strength, love and how much fun you always had together when we would see y'all. We will keep your family in our thoughts and prayers!

Words cannot adequately express the sorrow I feel for Jake's passing. I never met this young man but I know he passed, far, far too early. I am sure that his passing leaves all of his family and friends unbelievably sad and heartbroken. One can only imagine the pain. I lost my wife at 28 years of age and I too felt the pain and anguish of her absence for years and years. I still do today.
I will pray for Jake's soul and for his family and ask God our Almighty father to heal their pain and suffering and help them find solace in the fact that one day they will meet again and live together for eternity. that is every human's destiny.

I was so very sorry to hear about Jake. I regularly subbed his junior high classes. He knew me as Morgan Blakes' aunt, so he was always acting crazy--a sort of sweet ball of madness. I remember a gaggle of sixth grade girls that would go wild whenever he walked by. He has such a large fan club; everyone loves Jake. I don't think I ever saw him without a smile.
What really touched me though was when he found out I had a job interview at an elementary school. He announced that he was going to write me a letter of recommendation and rallied several of the other students to do the same. He also told me to keep my hair "big" and curly to appeal to the young kids!
I can't imagine what your family is going through. I hope all of the positive stories about Jake will give you a bit of peace.

Jake would not have remembered me, but I remember him as a student at EC Mason in 1st grade. I was the inclusion teacher, and his class was one that I went into every day.
