Obituary of Alice Marie Reeves

Alice Marie Reeves, 80, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2016. She is preceded in death by her parents, Nowlin and Estelle Cooper, her loving husband, S.M. Reeves, and brother, Nowlin “Buddy” Cooper. Alice is survived by son, Nelson Roberts and wife, Manon; daughters, Teresa Rodriguez and husband Juan, Christina Jefferson and husband Richard, June Sorto; brothers, Andy Cooper, Randy Cooper, Ronnie Cooper and wife Myrna, Richard “Rickey” Cooper; sisters, Glenda Locher, Carolynn George and husband, Sam; sister-in-law, Carol Cooper; twelve grandchildren, one great grandchild; and a host of other family and friends. Alice loved the Lord and was a devoted church member of her Baptist church in Bellaire. She enjoyed teaching adult Sunday school for many years and devoted a lot of time and energy to studying her weekly lesson. Alice was extremely devoted to her children and grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She was an avid reader and often read books more than once; much like the bible which she read cover to cover. Alice loved working on her computer and doing crossword puzzles. One of her greatest joys came from her monthly family breakfast the first Saturday of each month. Alice will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at 11:00 am at Houston Memorial Gardens 2426 Cullen Blvd. Pearland Texas 77581 with Pastor Jeff Campbell officiating.
