Dear Marianne and family,
You and Country Place were so fortunate to have Don as part of our lives and activities.
Don was never selfish with his time and his “broadcaster” voice was so pleasant to listen to.
He was so entertaining during men’s discussion meetings especially when it came time to choose a person to get the donuts for the next meeting. The meeting would not be over until someone would volunteer. Seems so trivial in the overall picture but he had attention to detail that was appreciated. We will miss him.

Don was my father’s nephew and Marianne is my mother’s niece. Our family connections are doubled. Don was a loving man who, along with Marianne, played an important part in my life. Don was on the radio when he was courting Marianne. As a young teenager, I thought his voice was dreamy and their sweet courtship something from a story book. Our prayers are with Marianne and the large family who each reflect the love and strength of this very special man. In His Love, Susan.

Marianne & family. We are fairly new at CountryPlace, but as I told you when we met at the Grill, I admired the way Don ran the Mens discussion group. We are grieving with you.

A true gentleman indeed. His smile, positive energy, and interesting conversations were a light back in the Gulf Coast days when we met and worked together. He always sparked interesting questions about life during our carpool days and it helped shape a lot of my decisions in life. His love for his family was paramount. May all the wonderful memories help you through this transition. May he rest in peace.

We are sad to have lost a friend and neighborhood of Country Place, where Don held a special place among us as leader of Men's Discussion Group and as a fellow Player Group member. He was visible as a man of faith and strength. His voice was rich with expression and meaning. We have known Don as a former neighbor and member of our former churches. Our children knew each other. We are sending prayers and love to his Marianne and the whole family. With sympathy, Ben & Jean Smusz

Hi, I have known Don for along time. he and his family were my neighbors. and really good friends, sorry for his loss. but heaven has another angel. I'm sad that he's gone. but glad he's not suffering. I can remember watching football at their house, and playing cards. he was a great card player. and I remember when Don and Marianne used to square dance and I can remember when Don had his garden. . I have really great memories with him and his family. I remember just spending time with him and spending holidays with them.
I'm really going to miss my good friend Uncle Don.
God, please take care of his family, sending love and hugs to all of them.
love you lots, and I will miss you,SLT

Marianne and Family, I am sorry to hear about your lost. Your dad and husband will always have a special place in my heart. In my office is a candy jar that he gave me, I will cherish and think of him as I reach in for a sweet treat. Your dad was very kind and sweet, I feel honor to have been a part of his life. May you keep your memories close to your heart during this difficult time. He was proud of all of you.

The VOICE of CountryPlace and The Players will be missed but remembered for all the support that he (Don) gave so many activities at CountryPlace.
UH has lost an early part of the Radio/TV Department, now the Jack Valenti School of Communication.
May God look after the family who grieve at this time but who are relieved that Don suffers no more. May the family take comfort in the many wonderful memories they of their husband/father/grandfather/greatgf(?)!!

Today's grey skies reflect the sadness we feel at Don's passing. His leadership at the Men's club, his wonderful voice in so many of our events, and his steadfast faith will sorely be missed. His zest for life has been an inspiration to us all these past many months as we witnessed his calm reassurance of his faith. Sending mighty prayers and big hugs to his family. with Love and Sympathy. the Bianco's
