I am so sorry to hear about Cody he was an awesome person. I met him back in 9th grade when he had long hair. Even then he was very outgoing and always happy. He always had a smile on. I am so sorry to hear about this I have been disconnected to Facebook for over a year.

Although I have a few, my favorite memory of Cody was during high school. When he still played football and "The Boys of fall" was our song of choice. He stood outside my house in his red letterman, just leaving a football game. War paint still on and the biggest smile you've ever seen. He was so confident and bright. He was one of the best people I've ever the privilege of knowing. My heart aches for his family. His memory will live on. My condolences.

We've been keeping you in our thoughts and prayers and I wish we had some magic words to offer... Cody has always been a bright spot for us- always waving and saying "hi" and asking how we're doing. You couldn't help but smile talking to him and seeing the sparkle in his eyes. I remember well him playing with Matchbox cars with Noah when we first moved in and later he helped me fix Ben's wagon that had been put together wrong. Our last lengthy conversation occurred when we ran into each other at La Casita - I was amazed seeing him in an adult body with the same sparkle and humor as that cute 10 year old who'd been frozen in my mind's eye.. I left thinking how proud you must be of such a fine young man and I'm sorry I hadn't actually shared that with you before now.
He touched our lives and we are profoundly sad. I can't imagine the depth of your pain ... we are so sorry for your loss.

From the time you were in elementary school... maybe a bit before that... I adored you!!! You were the 'wild'!!! So crazy and spontaneous!!!! You Josh and Tanner... were my 'boys'!!!! You made the game Texas Hug!!! I chased you boys through the house... and 'you' my doll... always wanted to be caught by me... for your 'Texas Hug'❤️ Everytime we saw each other since that first day... we talked about that! You grew into an amazing young man! Our last talk in person was a few moths ago. You were so excited about where your life was going and what you what you wanted out of it. Your smile and your laughter... has never changed since that little boy I met years ago. You were always the 'sunshine' that brightened a room....of course we always had to make it Cody proof before you entered!!! ❤️ when we last spoke... you giggled... and laughed... and smiled that 'CODY smile' and I melted as usual! While still calling me 'Miss Kendall'.... which you knew I hated!!! Lol You always made me laugh! I loved your free spirit! I'm glad that never left you! You know... they say 'the good die young'.... well... you my forever friend .... were 'one of those'. I am mad.... and sad! YOU were made to do so much more good on this planet!!! But I can only think... that God needed you more... than we do. I will continue to ask 'why Cody' ..... why can't I chat with him every 2-3 months! Why can't I call! Just to see how it's all going! Just like I do your childhood friends .... Josh and Tanner.

To the Carmody Family,
I have such fond memories of Oak Cluster Circle. When we met each other, Cody was still just a baby but he was already showing his wonderful spirit, his smile could light up a room. Britni spent so much time with your family, I remember TJ saying "it's like having a daughter". We never had such wonderful neighbors again. Then life got busy, kids growing up, sports, etc., but we never really lost touch. We watched each other's children grow up on Facebook, When Glenn passed away, I was so touched to see you there, that meant so much to me. But as I write this, I can't help but feel just a little empty inside knowing that God has called Cody home. Cody never compromised his spirit, he lived life to the fullest and never made excuses. As we grow older, Cody will always be 23, and there is something magical about that. We will never forget that baby boy who lived across the street, who grew up into a fine young man. He will always be in our minds and in our hearts. I love you guys.

Cody and my son, Norman, and Cody had become so close..as had I had ( Norman's Mother) when he called upon me at EXXON in his sales years ago.
