My condolences to Marie's family and Husband, Jay Hooks. In the short time I've known Marie, she made me smile everytime I saw her.
She was a very loving and caring person to me and all of her friends and strangers alike. I will miss her. But, I will never forget the kindest friend she was.

Maria was one of the "Three Musketeers" along with my sister Dee Dee and Sandy Bennett. Many happy memories from their friendship and all playing together. She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed. I pray that peace and comfort are found in precious memories of her.

I can tell by these words that many others knew the same Maria I did in our childhood and young adult years. This is how I have always and will always remember her.
