Obituary of Thaddeus James Ford

Thaddeus James Ford was born on July 22, 1947 in Faunsdale, Alabama to the late Robert and Mary Ford.  The family moved to Birmingham, Alabama where Thaddeus grew up.  He became a member of the 45th Street Baptist Church and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age.

Thaddeus graduated from Hayes High School in Birmingham, Alabama.  He continued his education at Tuskegee University, Tuskegee, Alabama where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Science in 1969.

Thaddeus worked for many prestigious construction firms throughout the United States as a Lead Architect and Cost Estimator Manager.  He established his own company, Ford Construction and Cost Services, where he performed estimating of commercial and light industrial services.

Thaddeus was a great support to his wife, Rev., Dr. Debra Ford and helped her in the ministry.  Together they formed Faith Christian Church International in 1995.  He was the Chief Financial Officer, Pastor of the Sons of Thunder Men’s Ministry, Sunday School Teacher and Financial Advisor, where he conducted workshops on money management, and Investments and Retirement Plans.  He was faithful in his oversight and care of the ministry.

Thaddeus leaves to mourn his passing, yet cherish his loving memories, a devoted and loving wife, Rev., Dr. Debra Ford, son, Moses T. Ballenger Jr., sisters; Verna and Karen Ford, aunt and uncle; Edward and Teresa Leonard, niece; Kathryn Ford, grandsons; Ethan and Ryan Ballenger and a host of relatives, in-laws, friends and church family.

Services for Thaddeus will be held Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581.  The visitation/wake will begin at 10:00 am and the funeral service will follow at 11:00 am with Dr. Cary Baker officiating.  Interment will take place at Houston Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Pearland, Texas.
