The world has lost a great man, a great human being, a mentor to many of us.
Thank you for being my instructor and a friend. You will be greatly be missed.
I am still in shock-Bumps was one of the greatest-he took interest in each one of his students-I was fortunate to see him a few years ago in Texas -A group of us visited him and it was a suprise to him-well planned and executed by his family.He remembered each one of us by our first names and could have said some thing about our personal lives at school.My family was graced by him and his wife presence when they visited us in Virginia.A simple man of honor-a great teacher-he even joked about not having the bumb any more on his head. "Sir Thank you for making me the Engineer I am today. "Thanks for telling us in Texas that we have all made you proud.

We (Josephs Patricks & Punambolams) wish to express our deepest condolences and sincere sympathies to the Punwasises, especially Deo's wife and his children. I know the Punwasises all my life. Deo used to work with my dad Cyril Patrick before he went to Bookers Training School. He was my instructor @ that school in 1965 & 1966. Before that I was @ JC Chandisingh with his niece from Whim and prior to that I was with his two younger brothers @ Roman School where I was taught by his sister; Parbattie.I used to go to their house in Free Yard and I know his father who used to work with the irrigation & pumps. The Punwasises are great people who always look back from where they came. I spoke with him a few months ago in Houston. He knew me right away after more than 50 years. RIP my friend . God Bless.
