Obituary of Tulsi Punwasi
Tulsi Punwasi, 86, passed away on Saturday, June 17th 2017. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jahalie and Sumintra Punwasi; brothers, Devaki Nandan, Bisnauth; and sister, Rookmin Rambudhan. Tulsi is survived by his loving wife, Kunty Punwasi; sons, Roger Punwasi and wife, Mey, Mohan Punwasi and wife, Christine; daughters, Vee Tiwari and husband, Andy, Chandini Betts and husband, Nicholas, Geeta Punwasi, Vedica Punwasi, Hema Ramnauth and husband, Rishi; brothers, Mohan Ram, Kamal Saran, Hardatt Ram, Jaipersaud; sisters, Sohodri Ramcharran, Parbatee Veerapen, Hardai Ballakhan; thirteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild; and many other family and dear friends.
Tulsi came from humble beginnings, but throughout his life, aspired to improve himself. He started as a goldsmith and thereafter worked through various jobs to ultimately achieve a successful career as a technical instructor. Tulsi worked hard to provide the best for his family and always focused on their well-being and happiness. He cherished every opportunity to spend time with his family during special events, gatherings and vacations. Family was the most important thing in his life.
Tulsi touched countless lives with his wisdom, generosity and compassion. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A visitation for Tulsi will be held Friday, June 23, 2017 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The funeral service will take place Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 9:00 am at the funeral home.
